Description

Please join an in-person screening of the PBS NOVA film The Battle to Beat Malaria on the R21/Matrix-M vaccine followed by a panel discussion on the current status and future prospects for malaria vaccines. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m.

The event is co-hosted by the Johns Hopkins Malaria Research Institute, the International Vaccine Access Center, and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Tangled Bank Studios.

Panelists will include David Walton from the President's Malaria Initiative, Umesh Shaligram from the Serum Institute of India, Ashley Birkett from PATH, Photini Sinnis from the Johns Hopkins Malaria Research Institute, and Simon Mutembo from the International Vaccine Access Center.
