Description

Axon degeneration underlies symptoms of many neurodegenerative diseases and currently the underlying mechanisms are poorly understood and effective therapies that prevent axon degeneration are not available. The Eighth Annual Axon Degeneration Conference will bring investigators from multiple institutions together to discuss the advances made in the past five years in the field. The focus will be on basic mechanisms of axon degeneration, disease relevance and potential therapeutic developments.
