Bridging Silos: Diverse Key Partner Perspectives on Leveraging AI to Improve the Care of Older Adults

Description
With significant advances in artificial intelligence, there is enormous potential to revolutionize the health, health care delivery, and well-being of older adults. This exciting event, hosted by the Johns Hopkins Artificial Intelligence & Technology Collaboratory for Aging Research, will serve as a collaborative forum for discussion among key stakeholders interested or involved at the intersection of artificial intelligence, health care, and aging.
The goal is to foster communication, transparency, and collaboration among diverse key partners, including older adults, care partners, clinicians, health system leaders, payers, technology developers, investors, and researchers.
Highlights of the symposium include keynote addresses by:
- Cheryl Phillips, a leader in geriatric care and health policy, currently a senior program consultant for the John A. Hartford Foundation's Age-Friendly Health Systems initiative
- Amanda Lazar, an associate professor specializing in the design of technology for older adults, particularly those with dementia, from the University of Maryland
Additionally, a panel discussion featuring experts from engineering, medicine, business, and patient representatives will provide insights into the integration of AI in health care for older adults.
