Description

The Data Science and AI Institute and the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences recently launched a series of symposia about the confluence of artificial intelligence (AI) with the natural and social sciences and the humanities to create a community of the Krieger School scholars whose interests include using AI tools in their research and/or are studying AI's impact on society.

Each symposium will focus on a theme, and speakers have been asked to prepare their talks for a general, well-informed audience. Most speakers will be the Krieger School scholars in the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities, data science and AI practitioners, and researchers from other university divisions.

Speakers include:

The speakers will address various aspects of the interface between earth science, public health, climate policy, AI, and data science. Each speaker will give a talk on the topic, followed by an audience Q&A session, and a reception for speakers and guests.

The next symposium will be on April 30 and is cosponsored by the Johns Hopkins Institute for Planetary Health.
