This outdoor concert event in Baltimore's historic Middle East neighborhood features Gisele Jackson and Club 54 (classic soul, funk, disco/dance), best-selling author D. Watkins, and Baltimore emcees Son Brave and Rodney Jay. [Find the schedule online]https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-peoples-party-music-health-community-in-baltimore-tickets-872138759507). Between acts, representatives from Baltimore community organizations will share information about their advocacy work and ways that you can get involved to promote community health and well-being, including Fayette Street Outreach, BRACE (Baltimore Redevelopment Action Coalition for Empowerment), OWEL (Older Women Embracing Life), and more.

In addition, representatives from Johns Hopkins' School of Public Health, Center for Social Concern, and others will share information about community health resources, including community-based learning opportunities, sexual health supplies, informational brochures, and other community-university collaborations.

The intent of the event is to strengthen and contribute to collaborations between Johns Hopkins affiliates and community members by amplifying grassroots organizers and their efforts to advance health equity.

Food trucks will be on-site for folks to purchase food at their discretion. There will also be entertainment for children and adults.

Hosted by the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine's Program in Arts, Humanities, and Health.
