Bridging the Knowledge-to-Practice Gap in Global Surgery
Description
The Johns Hopkins Center for Global Surgery (formerly JHGSI) hosts the 2024 Spring Symposium, titled "Bridging the Knowledge-to-Practice Gap in Global Surgery." The symposium is in person with virtual options available for portions of the day.
Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be provided free of cost, and a reception follows the symposium.
Special guest speakers include:
- Emmanuel Ameh, chief consultant pediatric surgeon at the National Hospital, Abuja, Nigeria
- Sherry Wren, hepatobiliary surgeon and director of global surgery at the Stanford Center for Innovation in Global Health
- Kofi Boahene, ENT (ear, nose, and throat) surgeon and director of the Division of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery at Johns Hopkins
