Nate Brown, author and senior lecturer at the Johns Hopkins University Writing Program, will be in conversation with Jean McGarry, a professor in the Johns Hopkins Writing Seminars, discussing "On Writing Environmental Fiction" as part of the Humanities in the Village series.

In the era of global climate change, writers are engaging directly with the science and social implications of our quickly changing planet. Join fiction writer Nate Brown for a reading and conversation with author Jean McGarry about what it means to be writing fiction in our ever-warming world. Audience Q&A after the reading—all are welcome. And while you're there, pick up some recommended titles from host Bird in Hand and enjoy their offerings of nighttime beverages.
