Description
Sanctions have long been a staple in U.S. foreign policy, often wielded against perceived bad actors. But shockingly, there's never been a comprehensive study on the long-term impact of these sanctions. With a tool used so widely in statecraft, we have to ask ourselves, are sanctions meeting intended U.S. objectives?
Join this exclusive book launch of How Sanctions Work, the first and only long-term study of sanctions on Iran, the most sanctioned country in the world. The event features authors and School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) professors Narges Bajoghli and Vali Nasr, with the discussion moderated by The Washington Post's Ishaan Tharoor.
Join SAIS Rethinking Iran in asking the tough questions and getting to the bottom of sanctions.
Books will be available for purchase, and the authors will be signing books at the end of the event.
