The United Kingdom and its global partners and allies are facing an increasingly adversarial world. Our institutions, our free markets, and open societies are being tested by the actions of malign international actors in a way not seen since WWII. The U.K.'s Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice, The Rt Hon Alex Chalk KC MP, will discuss the U.K.'s priorities to leverage the values of democracy, diplomacy, and deference to the international rule of law to address the most complex issues facing the global community in 2024.
The Lord Chancellor's address will be immediately followed by a short fireside chat and audience Q&A moderated by Henry Farrell, SNF Agora Institute Professor of International Affairs at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
