Description

Earle Havens, director of the Stern Center and curator of rare books and manuscripts, will give a talk titled "Printing on the Ice: Early Modern Frost Fair Ephemera at Johns Hopkins" as part of the T&S Holiday Celebration.

The T&S Society, formerly known as the Tudor & Stuart Society, is a scholarly and social organization serving Johns Hopkins graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty interested in the premodern and early modern periods, and their subsequent historical reception.

The T&S Society was established in 1923 by Sir William Osler and newly revitalized on the occasion of its 100th anniversary in 2023 through generous support from the [Dean's Office of the Krieger School of Arts & Sciences]9https://krieger.jhu.edu/people/dean-leadership/), the Singleton Center for the Study of Premodern Europe, the Alexander Grass Humanities Institute, and the Virginia Fox Stern Center for the History of the Book in the Renaissance. Information about Stern Center events is also available on the Sheridan Libraries website.
