T&S Presentation: "Lord Byron and the Perils of Publishing"

Description
Martin Michálek, a Johns Hopkins doctoral student in the Department of Classics, will give a talk titled "Lord Byron and the Perils of Publishing." This informal talk and rare book show-and-tell will be followed by a drinks and hors d'oeuvres reception in the T&S Room in Gilman Hall.
The T&S Society, formerly known as the Tudor & Stuart Society, is a scholarly and social organization serving Johns Hopkins graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty interested in the premodern and early modern periods, and their subsequent historical reception.
The T&S Society was established in 1923 by Sir William Osler and newly revitalized on the occasion of its 100th anniversary in 2023 through generous support from the [Dean's Office of the Krieger School of Arts & Sciences]9https://krieger.jhu.edu/people/dean-leadership/), the Singleton Center for the Study of Premodern Europe, the Alexander Grass Humanities Institute, and the Virginia Fox Stern Center for the History of the Book in the Renaissance. Information about Stern Center events is also available on the Sheridan Libraries website.
