Description

Daron Acemo?lu, a renowned economist and professor in the MIT Department of Economics, will join in conversation with Filipe Campante, School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) vice dean for faculty affairs and Bloomberg Distinguished Professor, and Henry Farrell, SNF Agora Institute professor of international affairs at SAIS. Acemo?lu will discuss his recent book, Power and Progress: Our 1000-Year Struggle Over Technology and Prosperity. The conversation will focus on the potential consequences of technology for shared prosperity, especially in the context of artificial intelligence, and social media.

SAIS Dean James B. Steinberg will provide opening remarks.
