Corporate FunRun 5K

Description

About Event:

The Corporate FunRun 5K focuses on three main facets: team building within the workplace, health and fitness, and socializing and fun. Come out with your fellow coworkers from any company, any department (i.e., the Engineering Department, Campus Dining, Student Affairs, etc.) and have a fun Thursday evening together strolling through the beautiful Homewood campus in a 5K (walk, jog, crawl, or run). Then afterwards, enjoy the post-race party with pizza, beer, music, and great company inside Homewood Field.

Event Staging:

The pre-race activities (packet pick-up, race night registration, company gathering, etc.) will take place inside of Homewood Field, the lacrosse/football stadium. The post-race party featuring beer, food, and music will be staged inside of the stadium as well near the end zone. In the event of inclement weather, the pre-race and post-race activities will be moved to the large gymnasium located inside the stadium.

Race Course:

The race will be staged at Homewood Field. The start will be outside of the stadium with the 5K course consisting of one loop around the beautiful Homewood campus. The finish will be inside of the stadium at the 50-yard line.

Party and Catering:

All participants get free beer and pizza; however, teams are welcome to bring in their own food and drink if they so desire. There will be plenty of spaced-out banquet tables and chairs available for comfortable seating. The D.J. will be playing music throughout and the photographer will take team, run/walk, and party photos. Awards at 8 p.m. will recognize largest team, tea with best tee shirt, and fastest teams/individuals.

Parking:

A parking map showing the on-campus and street parking options will be sent to all team captains about a week before the race.
