Illustration of a globe surrounded by clothing with the words "Planet Runway"

Description

Johns Hopkins's Students for Environmental Action's annual sustainable fashion show, Planet Runway, challenges "fast fashion," a phenomenon in which clothing is thrown away after little usage due to rapidly changing fashion trends. Student designers take donated clothes and transform them into cool outfits for models to show off down the runway. Come see the creative upcycling ideas these talented students come up with.

This event was a tradition of the club before things went virtual due to coronavirus, and it was a great success last year upon its return. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 6:30 p.m. It will be catered from a local vegetarian/vegan restaurant and includes a clothing drive to help those in need in the community as well as opportunities to win fun prizes.
