Schwarzman Scholars Information Session
Description
The Schwarzman Scholars Program, launched in the summer of 2016, prepares young leaders to better understand the culture, economy, governance, and motivations of China. Over the course of the 11-month program, scholars earn a master's degree in global affairs at Tsinghua University in Beijing and participate in internships with Beijing-based global and national institutions and corporations. All instruction is delivered in English, although scholars will have opportunities throughout the year to study Mandarin.
Applicants must have earned a bachelor's degree by the time the annual orientation begins in July and be at least 18, but not yet 29 years old, as of Aug. 1, 2023. Applicants may be of any citizenship but must be proficient in English (note: applicants with a Chinese passport apply through a separate process). Candidates must also have an outstanding academic record.
The Johns Hopkins National Fellowships Program is delighted to host Sarah Fischer, Schwarzman Scholars outreach and selection officer, for a live info session.
If you are interested in learning more but can't attend the April 24 session, please visit the Schwarzman Scholars website events page and sign up for an upcoming virtual info session.
The application for the Schwarzman Scholars Class of 2024-25 is now open and will be due by Sept. 19.
