Center for Bioengineering Innovation & Design "Dolphin Tank" Event

Description

Four Center for Bioengineering Innovation & Design innovation teams will pitch their projects to a panel of judges and competing for monetary prizes. Think a health-care-focused Shark Tank, but a more fun, friendly, and collaborative event.

The competitors are:

• SomnOSA: relieving complete concentric collapse in obstructive sleep apnea
• MiraHeart: monitoring early signs of pediatric heart failure
• digniFI: providing patient-centered solutions for managing fecal incontinence
• DiscOva: detecting early-stage ovarian cancer

Guest speaker Todd Brinton, vice president of Edwards Lifesciences, will give a keynote address from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.

Attendees may come to the entire event or just the keynote talk. Food and refreshments will be provided.
