Info Session for HopStart: Hopkins New Venture Challenge
Description
Hosted by the Center for Leadership Education, HopStart: Hopkins New Venture Challenge connects competitors with mentors who guide them through the process of writing a business plan and provides them the opportunity to pitch their new ventures to industry leaders and win up to $5,000 in prize money to take those ventures to the next level.
Competition Categories
Compete in one of three categories: General Ventures, Medical Technology and Life Science Ventures, or Sustainability Ventures.
Competition Timeline
In Stage 1, teams submit their written business plans and receive feedback from mentors over two rounds of competition (Feb. 17 – April 14). In Stage 2, teams pitch their ventures live to judges over two rounds of competition for the chance to win up to $5,000 in prize money (April 28).
Competition Details
Any new venture with at least one current Johns Hopkins student (undergraduate, graduate, or postdoctoral fellow) on its startup management team is welcome to compete. Please read the eligibility requirements in full before registering. Any team that does not meet all requirements will be unregistered from the event.
