2022-2023 Music at Evergreen Concert Series: Ying Li

Description
Evergreen Museum & Library's popular and eclectic Music at Evergreen concert series returns for its 69th season, presenting live music in the museum's stunning Bakst Theatre.
The series continues with rising star pianist Ying Li, who made her most recent debut at Teatro Alla Scala in Milan with L'Accademia Orchestra del La Scala and Maestro Toshiyuki Kamioka.
Twenty-four-year-old Chinese pianist Ying Li won First Prize in the 2021 Young Concert Artists Susan Wadsworth International Auditions, as well as The Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival Prize and the Tri-I Noon Recitals Prize. She has performed with many leading orchestras, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, New Jersey Symphony, Brevard Music Festival Orchestra, and L'Accademia Orchestra del La Scala. In addition, she recently was featured on WQXR's "Eine-kleine Birthday-musik," a free, all-Mozart livestreamed concert to celebrate Mozart's 266th birthday. She began piano lessons at age five in China and moved to Philadelphia in 2012 to study at the Curtis Institute of Music with Jonathan Biss and Seymour Lipkin. After receiving her Bachelor of Music from Curtis Institute in 2019, she received her master's degree at The Juilliard School in New York, where she continues her studies with Robert McDonald in the school's Artist Diploma Program.
