Mindfulness for Women in STEM
Description
Join the Greater Baltimore Chapter of the Association for Women in Science (AWIS) for their first event of 2023: a "Mindfulness for Women in STEM" workshop and networking event led by Neda Gould, associate director at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Anxiety Disorders Clinic, associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences, and the director of mindfulness programs at Johns Hopkins University. With more than 12 years as a clinical psychologist and teaching mindfulness-based stress reduction, Gould will share insight and tips on stress management, self-care, and maintaining mindfulness as a woman in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).
This event is free and open to both AWIS members and nonmembers. Nonbinary and gender nonconforming folks are encouraged to attend. The main event will start at 6 p.m., with time to network with other participants both before and after the event.
