Description

Come learn about the innovative research of students involved in the community-engaged History Lab course, "Asian Diaspora in Baltimore."

Research topics include:

  • local Baltimore histories of Chinese merchant associations and restaurants in the mid-20th century
  • Korean-Black relations in the 1990s
  • differential access to health care among Asians in Baltimore
  • and more

History Lab members will also reflect on their experiences working with community collaborators, creating public histories, and grappling with dominant narratives of Baltimore.
