Mary Brinton, a professor of sociology and director of the Edwin O. Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies at Harvard University, will give a talk titled "Why Does Japanese Fertility Remain So Low? Lessons from a Misguided Policy Approach," co-sponsored by the Program in East Asian Studies, Department of Sociology, and International Studies Program.
