Description

The Johns Hopkins Center for Bioengineering Innovation & Design (JHU CBID) Masters in Bioengineering Innovation & Design program is actively seeking applicants who are interested in pursuing a master's degree in bioengineering innovation and design for the 2023–2024 academic cycle.

Please join one of our online info sessions this fall to learn from Johns Hopkins faculty, fellows, and students about the CBID MSE program, including the one year program structure, clinical rotations at Johns Hopkins Hospital, U.S. and global health projects, tuition, application requirements, and post-graduation career paths.

The world is facing major medical challenges. Are you willing to devote your engineering talent to solving them? Do you have a passion for innovation and design that can transform lives around the world? Can you see yourself as an innovation leader in the health care industry or in medicine?

This intensive one-year program immerses you in the technical, clinical, and business realities of practical health care innovation.

  • Begin in the summer working closely with clinicians and scientists at the top-ranked Johns Hopkins Hospital to identify and validate significant clinical needs.
  • Travel from Johns Hopkins Hospital to some of the most challenging health care environments in Asia and Africa to understand biodesign for the rest of the world.
  • Form teams with other students plus faculty in the Johns Hopkins Schools of Medicine and Engineering, and with other partners, to design, prototype and test viable solutions.
  • Work with business faculty plus industry, legal, and regulatory mentors to learn to develop business plans that could propel your innovations toward practical use.
