Description

The Friends of the Johns Hopkins University Libraries host an opening reception for the new rare book exhibition, Women of the Book: The Spiritual Lives of Early Modern Women, 1450-1800.

The special exhibition features approximately 100 items drawn from the Sheridan Libraries' Women of the Book collection — the world's most comprehensive collection of rare books, manuscripts, and ephemera detailing the spiritual, intellectual, and interior lives of women from the Renaissance to the Enlightenment.

3:00 p.m. Exhibition viewing and catered reception
4:00 p.m. Remarks and concert, featuring:

MUSICA SPIRA, performing early music composed by women
