Description

Van Ton-Quinlivan is the CEO of Futuro Health and former Vice Chancellor at California's community college system. Her recent book WorkforceRx: Agile and Inclusive Strategies for Employers, Educators and Workers in Unsettled Times offers a set of prescriptions for connecting workers, educational opportunities and employment that could help to close the economic divide. She will be interviewed by Mitchell Stevens, a sociologist and professor at Stanford Graduate School of Education.

This event is free and part of the online book conversation series Academic Innovation for the Public Good, organized by Stanford Digital Education and Trinity College. Each event features an author of a recently published book exploring the role of colleges and universities in addressing society's problems. An expert in the author's field will conduct the interview, followed by questions from the audience. Johns Hopkins University is among the sponsors of the conversation series.
