Food for Fines library food drive
Description
Reduce your library fines by as much as $10 by donating non-perishable food at the Milton S. Eisenhower Library's service desk between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. from Monday, May 9 through Tuesday, May 24. Donated items will benefit the Church of the Guardian Angel Food Pantry in Remington.
For every unopened, unexpired non-perishable food item donated, the library will reduce your overdue fines by $1 to a maximum of $10.
Canned soup, canned chicken, canned tuna, SpaghettiOs, and nutritional shakes like Ensure are particularly needed. Boxed pasta, mashed potatoes, shelf-stable milk, and juice are also welcome, as are gluten-free, low-sodium, vegan, and other dietary considerations.
Don't have any overdue fines? We will still accept any items on our list by anyone.
Items that are expired, damaged, or perishable will not be accepted.
Food for Fines only works on overdue fines. Lost book charges, damaged item fees, or other fees associated with your library account are not eligible. The Food for Fines offer does not extend to other Hopkins libraries.
