The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is honored to welcome Atul Gawande, assistant administrator of the Bureau for Global Health at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), for a virtual fireside chat. Bloomberg School Dean Ellen J. MacKenzie will host the conversation with Gawande as part of the Johns Hopkins Health Policy Forum.

The discussion will cover topics such as:

  • the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic
  • global vaccination efforts
  • strengthening primary care and health systems around the world through public-private partnerships and other means
