Description

Optometrists serve incredibly diverse communities around the globe, from classroom age children receiving their first vision screening to mature individuals seeking regular eyecare or finding a new lens prescription. Despite the availability of optometry services, existing vision screening data are discordant because of an absence of universally accepted screening process, resulting in fewer opportunities to identify and address issues in eyecare across populations.

Join Lori Grover (PhD '12) as she discusses the power of optometrists in public health and the importance of advocating for policies that promote comprehensive vision screening and remove inequities in access to eyecare.
