BME Virtual Weekly Seminar Series: Milica Radisic

Milica Radisic, a professor and Canada research chair at the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering and the associate chair of research at the University of Toronto, will give a talk for the Department of Biomedical Engineering. The topic is to be announced.

Deok-Ho Kim will be the faculty host.

Radisic has quickly become an international leader in the emerging field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Her work on the development of new heart tissue has received wide acclaim for its novel approach and successful results, and she was the first to employ electrical stimulation during cellular growth to mimic the beating of a heart.
