Heart disease remains the #1 killer of women in the U.S. Symptoms of heart disease can differ between men and women. But did you know there are also gender differences regarding heart surgery? Jennifer Lawton, chief of the Division of Cardiac Surgery at Johns Hopkins Medicine, explores these gender differences and what women can do to help ensure better surgical outcomes.
