Spotlight Series: Improving Care for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

This presentation by David Mandell (ScD '01), a professor of psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, will focus on strategies to organize, fund, and deliver care to those with psychiatric and developmental disabilities at national and state levels, and discuss experimental studies designed to determine the best strategies to successfully implement proven-efficacious practices in community settings. Specific examples on community-provided need-based care will be given from the national perspective.
