Human papillomavirus (HPV) infections can lead to development of various cancers, including ovarian and cervical cancer as well as oral cancers. Learn about development of oropharyngeal cancers — the most common HPV-related cancer in the United States — from head and neck oncologist Carole Fakhry, director of the Johns Hopkins Head and Neck Cancer Center and professor of otolaryngology. Also, gynecologist and pathologist Cornelia Trimble, professor of gynecology and obstetrics, will talk about new guidelines for the HPV vaccine, which is effective in preventing the development of cancers among women of all ages.
