President's Frontier Award lecture with Andrew Holland
Description
Andrew Holland, an associate professor of molecular biology and genetics at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, will give a talk titled "Cell Division in Health and Disease" as part of receiving the $250,000 President's Frontier Award, which he used to purchase a new live-cell imaging microscope to observe and manipulate dividing cells with unparalleled precision.
Holland explores the molecular mechanisms that control accurate chromosome distribution and the role that mitotic errors play in human health and disease. In 2021, he received the $250,000 President's Frontier Award to purchase a new live-cell imaging microscope to observe and manipulate dividing cells with unparalleled precision.
As part of his President's Frontier Award, Holland will deliver a lecture on his research. Watch the lecture online.
