Description

The Arrighi Center for Global Studies and the Walter Rodney Foundation host "The 1968 Rodney "Riots": Lessons for the 21st Century" with lectures by Carolyn Cooper, Patricia Rodney, and Rupert Lewis. This event is co-sponsored by the Center for Africana Studies and Program in Latin American Studies.

  • Carolyn Cooper (University of the West Indies at Mona, Jamaica): "Bearing Witness: The Walter Rodney Uprising in Jamaica"
  • Patricia Rodney (Walter Rodney Foundation): "October 1968: The Personal is Political"
  • Rupert Lewis (University of the West Indies at Mona, Jamaica): "Rodney's 'Groundings' and Our 21st Century World".
