Description

The GreenHacks Sustaining Disruptions Hackathon (Oct. 22 to 24) will run in a hybrid modality where participants will design their projects. Participants' proposed solution to the hackathon track can be completely code-free (like a business proposal, engineering design, new legislative act), a combination of each, or something entirely different. Participants can come from all backgrounds, majors, and areas of expertise. GreenHacks 2021 will be open to students from all Baltimore-area universities for the first time.

Jessica McCarty is the keynote speaker, and Homewood Recycling and the Life Design Lab will host workshops.

Aside from all the free swag and food, the top three scoring hackathon teams will earn $500.

Some large introduction and conclusion events will take place online, and other events will be held at Homewood campus and Fast Forward U (subject to change due to COVID-19 guidelines). All in-person events at Johns Hopkins must follow university COVID-19 policies. See current guidelines online.
