Description

Ellen Ueberschär, president of the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Berlin, will give a talk titled "Health Check for Democracies: A View from Germany after the Elections" for the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, the Department of History, and the Max Kade Center for Modern German Thought.

The Heinrich Böll Foundation is a non-profit organization that is part of the global green movement and has a network of over 30 offices around the world. Ueberschäer will discuss the outcome of the German elections and the challenges facing liberal democracies from climate change and social and economic inequality to disinformation and rightwing extremism.
