In co-sponsorship with the SAIS Student Government Association, join Dean Eliot A. Cohen and Congressman Andy Kim, representing the Third Congressional District of New Jersey, for a conversation on shaping the new global order in a post-COVID world.

Congressman Andy Kim was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018. As a member of the House, Rep. Kim serves on the House Armed Services Committee, the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and the House Committee on Small Business. Rep. Kim is a co-chair of the House Democratic Caucus National Security Task Force.

Prior to serving in the House, Rep. Kim worked as a career public servant under both Democrats and Republicans. He served at USAID, the Pentagon, the State Department, and in Afghanistan as a strategic advisor to Generals David Petraeus and John R. Allen. Rep. Kim went on to serve as the director of Iraq at the National Security Council under President Barack Obama, where he coordinated the counter-ISIS response.
