Description

The Johns Hopkins Science Writing Program invites you to a discussion with faculty member Sam Apple, author of the new book Ravenous: Otto Warburg, the Nazis, and the Search for the Cancer-Diet Connection.

In the words of celebrated Columbia University writing professor Phillip Lopate, Ravenous is a "fascinating account of an impossibly arrogant scientific genius, his collision with the monster Adolf Hitler, and the revolutions in cancer research." Apple will be joined by special guest Chi Van Dang, a pioneer of cancer metabolism research who made his first critical discoveries at Johns Hopkins.

This event is co-sponsored by the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins.
