Description

For eight years, Johns Hopkins University has supported the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's (AFSP) mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide by hosting an annual Out of the Darkness Campus Walk. This year, due to continued public safety restrictions on in-person events, the AFSP Maryland Chapter is holding ONE Maryland Out of the Darkness Campus Walk — a virtual, combined event with universities, colleges, and schools across Maryland.

The walk will be held virtually April 24 and/or 25. The Johns Hopkins Team will also hold a Week of Action from April 9 to 16 with virtual mental health and self-care programming. Learn more about the walk or to register online.

Suicide is an issue that impacts us all, and we hope this event gives our greater community an opportunity to come together to care for one another and raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention.
