Marci Lee Bowers is a gynecologist and surgeon who specializes in gender affirming surgeries, and she is the first transgender woman to perform transgender surgery. She has practiced for more than 29 years and has pushed for innovation in the procedures involved and education surrounding gender-affirming surgeries.
