Description

In co-sponsorship with the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) Student Government Association, join Dean Eliot A. Cohen, Ben Smith, Hayden Hubbard, and Gerrit W. Gong, Rhodes scholar and former SAIS lecturer, for a discussion on the global role of a faith-based organization.

Gerrit W. Gong has held positions as China chair and Asia director at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, special assistant to the undersecretary of state at the U.S. Department of State, and special assistant to two U.S. ambassadors at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, China. In 2010, Dr. Gong was called to full-time service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he currently serves as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
