Description
Jack Hamilton, a professor of American studies and media studies at the University of Virginia and the pop critic for Slate magazine, will lead a conversation about different modes of writing for the public, learning to write scholarship for a broad audience, and how to balance academic and journalistic roles, for the Alexander Grass Humanities Institute.
Hamilton's first book, Just Around Midnight: Rock and Roll and the Racial Imagination, was published by Harvard University Press in 2016.
