Civic Sessions: Civic Engagement Beyond the Ballot

Every Johns Hopkins student is encouraged to be engaged civically within Baltimore and the communities you call home. This session will help you navigate how to take action and be an engaged citizen in issue areas that you feel passionately about. Join the conversation with Misti McKeehen, executive director of the Center for Social Concern, and your peers to consider immediate actions you can take from where you are and how to plan your longer term engagement – in ways that best suit you. Your role in community does not stop at casting a ballot, so be sure you are ready to have your voice heard.
