Please join the Women, Gender, and Sexuality (WGS) Program for a panel discussion to celebrate the launch of Katie Hindmarch-Watson's new book, Serving a Wired World: London's Telecommunications Workers and the Making of an Information Capital. Hindmarch-Watson will be joined by panelists Mary Fissell (Johns Hopkins), Mar Hicks (Illinois Institute of Technology), Magdalene Klassen (Johns Hopkins), and Seth Koven (Rutgers).

Katie Hindmarch-Watson is an assistant professor in history at Johns Hopkins University, and a long-time member of the WGS program's board. Her works tracks the joined histories of gender, labor, and technology, with particular attention to questions of class and identity formation. Serving a Wired World is her first book.
