Info Session for Applicants: Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowships to Promote Diversity in Higher Education
Description
Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowships seek to increase the diversity of the nation's college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, maximizing the educational benefits of diversity, and increasing the number of professors who are well prepared to use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students. The fellowship provides an annual stipend of $27,000 for three years of study towards a research-based doctoral degree (dissertation required), in an eligible discipline at a not-for-profit U.S. institution of higher education. It also includes funds to attend at least one Conference of Ford Fellows and access to Ford Fellow Regional Liaisons, a network of former Ford Fellows who provide mentoring and support. Applications are due Dec. 17, 2020.
If you are considering applying, please join the Johns Hopkins National Fellowships Program for an information session on the Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship. We'll be joined by a recent Ford Fellow who will share his insights and advice on the application process and the benefits of the fellowship. Please register on Zoom to receive the access link.
The National Fellowships Program will also provide feedback on Ford application essays submitted to Kathleen Barry at kbarry18@jhu.edu by Dec. 3.
