Description

François Furstenberg, professor of history at Johns Hopkins University, will lead a Public Writing Workshop for the Alexander Grass Humanities Institute.

The workshop will focus on Furstenberg's op-eds on university reopening during the pandemic, including articles written for The American Prospect and The Chronicle of Higher Education.

The Public Writing Workshop series features scholars who have successfully translated their thought and style to writing for broad public audiences. Over the 2020/2021 academic year, participants will discuss several scholars' writing and the light they shed on the process, the promises, and the pitfalls of writing for public audiences.
