Description

The Aronson Center for International Studies Fall Speaker Series on Human Rights will be discussing Women and Conflict. Panelists will include:

  • Susan Harris Rimmer, director of the Griffith University Policy Innovation Hub and research associate at the Development Policy Centre in the Crawford School at Australian National University
  • Funmi Balogun, head of Humanitarian Normative and Coordination Action at UN Women
  • Tawakkol Karman, 2011 Nobel Peace Prize laureate for activism promoting women's rights and women's participation in peace building, and Yemeni Nobel laureate and cofounder of Women Journalists Without Chains

This event will be moderated by Sarah Parkinson, assistant professor of international studies and political science at Johns Hopkins University.
