Description

Karen Taylor from the Johns Hopkins Counseling Center, Nila Mechali Berger from Yoga with Nila, and Alyse Campbell from the Center for Health Education & Wellness, will lead a session focused on reconnecting with our minds and bodies in this time of collective trauma.

Flyer for Mind and Body Work event contains event details like time and location

Participants will learn techniques in breathwork to emphasize calming and clearing and in bodywork/movement to emphasize presence and grounding. These will be partnered with a discussion of the Window of Tolerance, so participants can learn what happens in the nervous system during periods of trauma and prolonged stress. Participants will be able to use these in concert to help restore and rebalance the body and mind and to promote resiliency.
