Join Sean Jones, internationally acclaimed trumpeter and chair of the Jazz Department at the Peabody Institute, on a journey through jazz — then and now. Using his personal collection of vinyl, Jones will share his favorite recordings representative of different styles and cultural origins of jazz music. During this informal listening tour, Jones will guide attendees through several pieces of music, during which he'll help attendees listen for and understand the melody, harmony, and nuances that make jazz so unique.
