Description

This virtual town hall event provides a forum for discussion of the context and rationale for the university's financial mitigation plans related to COVID-19.

The discussion will be led by Sunil Kumar, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs; Daniel Ennis, senior vice president for finance and administration; and Helene Grady, vice president for planning and budget. They will provide a brief overview of the university's budget model and review the projected economic impact of the pandemic on our university finances and the decisions made in order to put the university on the strongest possible foundation to weather the pressures we have and will continue to confront. They will also answer questions submitted by participants and moderated by Stephen Gange, professor and executive vice provost for academic affairs.

Others who will participate and be able to answer questions are: + Cherita Hobbs, Executive Director Employee & Labor Relations
+ Alicia Wilson, VP for Economic Development
+ Meredith Stewart, Executive Director, Total Rewards
+ Jon Links, Professor, VP & Chief Risk and Compliance Officer

This is an opportunity for faculty and staff to pose questions, raise concerns, or seek clarification of our budgetary decisions.

Submit questions in advance at covidtownhall@jhu.edu. Watch live at https://hub.jhu.edu/vip/2020-planning-town-hall/ (JHED login required).
