Description
When the Carroll family furnished Homewood, they, like many early 19th-century American families, chose to include fashionable print series, like William Birch's views of Philadelphia and Robert Thew/Josiah Boydell's scenes from William Shakespeare plays. This session will look at both original and reproduction prints in Homewood's collection and introduce participants to the variety of prints that were manufactured and distributed in the new republic.
This webinar will consist of a 20-minute online video followed by a live Q&A and discussion with Homewood's curators.
